COVI CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION,
INC. is a fully-licensed and insured California corporation
founded in 1978 by Paul Covi Bissin. Our company is built on a
foundation of team effort in management, field crews and
administration. We are a company with diversified experience,
technical capability, precision work and attention to detail. We are
experienced to have succeeded in a wide variety of challenging
situations.
COVI CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION,
INC. offers design/build services. COVI provides this
service including shop drawings, done in-house. This method saves our
clients MONEY. We are brought in at the start, to work with architects
and engineers and advise them on ways to save by working to eliminate
over-design. By working to closer tolerances and employing new
construction techniques COVI provides a guaranteed price. Most of
these design/build projects are a cost reducing post tensioned design,
but some use conventional reinforcing.

| Covi built all the concrete portions of this
automotive dealership for Volvo of Riverside. The 140,000 sq. ft.
two-story concrete structure contains showroom, offices, parts and
service departments, and enclosed automotive storage. It has
split-face concrete block walls, cast-in-place concrete shear walls,
and poured-in-place columns. The car storage portion utilizes
post-tensioned concrete decks. Covi also installed all the flatwork,
which provides outdoor display space and parking for 600 cars. This
was a design/build project. |

| The highest tech structure Covi has worked on is
this 22,000 sq. ft. Lucky Store freezer building in Buena Park. It
is 220 ft. long, 100 ft. wide and 60 ft. tall. Because robots do all
the storing and retrieving among the towering frozen foods racks,
the floor had to stiff specifications: (1) no floor joints on any of
its 30-in wide robot aisles; and (2) the floor could not vary more
than 1/16 in. in 10 ft. Covi developed a rail forming system to
achieve these tight tolerances. An added complication: normal room
temperatures, 20 degrees below zero, could cause the topping slab to
condense and lift up from the foundation slab. The Covi-suggested
solution was neat cement, a little-known technique that
bonded the two slabs together. |

| San Miguel is a luxurious 56-unit oceanfront
condominium on a two-acre site in Oceanside. Covi constructed the
64,000 sq. ft. semi-subterranean parking garage that serves as the
foundation and includes the first-level floors and decks. The garage
features a poured-in-place rebar deck, masonry walls, and concrete
columns. Its ceiling is sloped to accommodate the first floor units
radiused step-down courtyards. |

| A unique showcase for Covis custom home work
is this 50 ft. long, 30 ft. wide, 11 ft. high concrete structure in
a Laguna Hills backyard. The site did not have sufficient level area
for family recreation, entertaining, and horses - so the structure
was built into a slope. On the top level is a multi-activity Sport
Court Brand Court. The lower level has a bath, sauna, kitchen, card room, and
two-stall stable. The structure includes built-in planter bays that
overlook the corral. It was stuccoed on all sides and it tied into a
sprawling stone and brick-paved patio. |
